With OVO you can use any kind of tablet you like - or you can use your data only SIM card in a WiFi modem or hotspot.
With OVO you'll need to BYO device - it doesn't matter if it's shiny and new or older.
There's just a couple of things to keep in mind:
Check it's 4G enabled
Your device needs to be 4G enabled to be compatible with OVO's SIM cards. Even if you're not planning to use your tablet on the 4G network and (or!) you're not able to get 4G coverage in your local area, the device itself needs to be 4G enabled.
Make sure it's unlocked
If you bought your device from another telco (like Telstra or Vodafone), it could be locked to their network. That means the device won't register on our network until it's unlocked - it doesn't matter whether you're no longer in contract. If you're not sure if your device is unlocked you'll need to ask the company (or person) that you bought it from. If it's unlocked, the telco that it's locked to will be able to unlock it - you just need to ask them to do it.
It should take a SIM card
When you sign up to OVO you'll receive a SIM card and you'll need to carefully place this into your phone. It might seem obvious, but make sure your device takes a SIM card - especially if you're using your SIM card in a WiFi modem. With OVO it doesn't matter what sized SIM card it takes - all our SIM cards are multi-fit. That means you can carefully pop out the right sized SIM card for your device: nano, micro or standard sized.
