If you're not already on prepaid you really should think about switching because its better value for the average Australian.
Of course we would say that - right?? Well it might seem like something a marketeer would say but it's actually 100% true and here's why:
Data gets cheaper every year
Fact. Data gets cheaper every year. To be competitive telcos will always be bringing out plans where the data is cheaper OR where the plan offers even more data for the same price. If you're on a contract you can't take advantage of the best deal around because you're locked-in. Switching to prepaid means you're not tied to a contract so you're free to take up a better deal anytime.
With OVO we take that a step further, with our 'Fans First' promise. Our 'Fans First' promise means we'll keep sharpening the pencil on our prices and adding more value into our plans and automatically move you to the best deal we've got. And, because we're serious about being 'for the fans' we're committed to bringing great value plans with a great price tag to Australian fans.
You won't pay hidden fees.
We can't speak for other telcos, but with OVO, prepaid means no hidden fees and no tricky small print. That might not seem important but most telcos will charge you to change plans and charge you to cancel your contract....and that adds up.
With OVO there's no tricky small print. What we charge is really easy to explain. And best of all when things change and you need more calling and/or data (or less) you can change to another OVO plan free of charge - the only thing we ask is that you do that when you recharge so that you don't lose any unused data.
And no, it doesn't cost more to call and SMS with prepaid
It used to be that you'd pay much more for calls and messaging when you were prepaid. That's no longer the case...or at least it's not with OVO. When you sign up to OVO Mobile (our mobile phone plans) the cost of calls and messaging is irrelevant because you get standard calls (unlimited on most plans), sms and mms anywhere in Australia.
Prepaid is just as easy and convenient
Again, we can't speak for every other telco BUT with OVO there's no extra effort if you're on prepaid. You can set up an automated monthly recharge so that it's 'set and forget' and if you're running low you can top up with the click of button. You'll know how much data you've got left by looking at your OVO app or on oue website and you'll be notified when you use 50%, 85% and 100% of your data.
In all, it's the same effort as being on a contract.
Prepaid - why not?
