At the moment we only accept Visa and Mastercard.
To use OVO you do need to have a valid credit card; that's why this is mandatory in our sign up and why we let you know if your credit card is close to expiry or if we can't top you up because your card is no longer working.
Like most digital businesses we don't hold onto your credit card details, instead we use a secure payment gateway service so that your details are completely secure. The only information that we hold about your credit card is the expiry date and the last 4 digits. Each month when you recharge (or if you top up through the month) we'll ask the payment gateway to debit your credit card so that your data allowance can be renewed.
If you've set yourself up to be recharged automatically we'll let you know when your credit card is charged.
By the way, if you really want to pay with Diners, AMEX or PayPal, we'd really like to hear from you - ideas@OVO.com.au. If we can make it easier for the fans out there we'd be happy to hear from you and really happy to add those payment options in the future.
